About Mrs. Gentry

I taught sixth grade Language Arts, Reading, and Social Studies for 30 years at Fort Scott Middle School. This is my fourth year of teaching part-time at St. Mary’s. A positive aspect of teaching in a small town is the connections that form over the years. Many of my students at St. Mary’s are siblings or children of former FSMS students.  Although my training and experience focused on the secondary public school level, I have truly loved teaching younger children in a religious setting. Each day is a personal blessing!

My husband, Charles, and I have lived in Fort Scott since we were married 47 years ago. We have three married children and six grandchildren. I enjoy gardening, sewing, and reading in my spare time.
